Have you ever been to a restaurant and thought, How can I stay healthy with all this goodness on the menu? It’s hard to stay on your health regimen when temptation is everywhere. The thoughts of having a slice of pizza or a juicy burger crowd your thoughts and stall your healthy progress. Eager to control your cravings you avoid those desires and decide to eat that bland meal you prepared at night? But why does it have to be that way? I believe that eating healthy should be fun and exciting.
Since the removal of my gallbladder, I took some time to focus on what I was putting in my body and train myself not to over indulge in those delicious temptations. Thus, when Adrian and I go out to eat I look up restaurants that have healthy menu options and determine what I want to order prior to getting there. I even came up with a list of local restaurants in Miami that are healthy, nutritious and reasonably priced.
While my sister was visiting for Memorial Weekend, I decided to take her to breakfast. We came across this restaurant called Dirt Eat Clean. As we perused through the menu we noticed a plethora of healthy options to choose from. I decided to go with the avocado toast and acai bowl topped with homemade granola, kiwi, bananas and strawberries (which serves two people, clearly I shared this). My sister had the almond butter toast with turkey bacon. The food was delicious and filled us up for the remainder of the day (at least until dinner).
The restaurant was located near South Beach at 232 5th St, Miami Beach, FL 33139. Inside the décor/ ambiance was very trendy, refreshing and very Instagram worthy! I snapped several photos. I would definitely say this restaurant is rated high on my healthy eateries in Miami. If you haven’t checked the restaurant out, I highly recommend it!
